Makeup Use for Young Women

All women want to look beautiful. Some say that beauty is not that important, but you have got to admit, being pretty in everyone’s eyes is still very flattering. Women usually use make up to further bring out their beauty. Basically, make up refers to any cosmetic applied on the face, to alter or enhance the appearance of women, or even men. Make up is used by both sexes, especially those in theatre. Naturally, however, women are the ones who apply it on their faces everyday. If you want to enhance your face’s appearance, thus enhancing your beauty as well, you could use the following tips on applying cosmetics. This information of how to apply makeup will be especially useful for girls just learning.

To begin, the basic things you will need are concealer, face powder, foundation, eye shadow, cheek blush, mascara, lipstick, lip shimmer, and the blush brush. These are the usual cosmetics women use everyday. Some of these supplies can be obtained from free make up samples that come in gift sets when you make a purchase. One line of cosmetics that I really enjoy is MAC makeup.

Applying concealer all over your face is the first step. You should choose a concealer with a shade lighter than that of your foundation. Using a sponge or just your bare fingertips, spread it all over your face to “conceal” eye bags, dark spots, blemishes, and pimples. Put some eye cream first if the concealer “cakes”. Then, you can apply the dots of foundation in your face and spread it again until the face is entirely covered. Pressed or loose powder should be applied so both concealer and foundation will last longer.

Now that you are done with the face, you can now do your eye area. Use your eyebrow shadow and apply it using a brush. There are also pencils, but these can sometimes give unnatural-looking results. Next, acquire some lighter and darker shades of eye shadow than the color use used earlier. The medium shade will be applied on the creases, the lighter shade under the eyebrows, and the darker shade on the upper lids. Use eyeliner to line the lower lid area of your lashes. Normally, two-thirds of the lower lid is lined but you can choose to line all across it for a darker look.

Next, use mascara to emphasize your upper and lower eyelashes. Brown mascara is better to use if you have fair complexion. Meanwhile, if your coloring is brown-black or black, use darker colors. You could also try experimenting with different colors of mascara. You should not use excessively bright colors, though, if you do not want to be laughed at. After the mascara application is finished, go back to your face. Put some cheek blush on your face. It is best to smile when applying brush.

Once you are now done with the basics, you can put the finishing touches. Find a lipstick color that goes well with your skin tone and apply it on your lips. Then, line your lips with lip liner; this is used after lipstick application and not prior to it. This way, the lip liner also disappears as the lipstick wears off. Do not combine pale lipstick with dark lip liner.

And that is how you put on simple make up. If you are already good at this, then you should do your own thing. These are just the basics of cosmetic application meant as a guide for beginners.
